Samsung Galaxy A51 & A71 debuts with quad cameras

Even though we are still a few weeks before 2020, mobile tech giant, Samsung have announced the first two devices for the A (2020) series – Galaxy A51 & Galaxy A71 as successors to the Galaxy A50 and A70 respectively

Let’s see what the two devices have to offer

The device comes with an Infinity-O Super AMOLED display that measures 6.5 inches and features FHD+ resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. Underneath this display is the fingerprint sensor. The selfie camera is housed in a punch-hole that is positioned at the top middle of the display.

The rear camera module is L-shaped and consists of four cameras – 48MP main sensor, 12MP ultrawide with 123° Field of View, 5MP depth and 5MP macro camera. As usual, the camera setup comes with great features like Super Steady Video, Smart Switch and Live Focus.

Powering the Galaxy A51 is Samsung’s in-house Exynos 9611 SoC which is coupled with an 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM. The phone runs on One UI 2.0 based on Android 10. Battery-wise, it comes with a 4,000 mAh capacity and supports 15W fast charging.

The Galaxy A51 has four colour options – Prism Crush Blue, Prism Crush White, Prism Crush Black, and Prism Crush Pink. It will be available for pre-order in Vietnam from December 16. While sales will commence from December 27 at $350/€310. You’ll get free gifts such as a 10,000 mAh power bank and a Samsung’s C&T ITFIT A08C Wireless Bluetooth earphones.

The Galaxy A71 is similar to the Galaxy A51 but there are a few differences. It’s powered by Snapdragon 730 SoC and comes with a bigger display size of 6.7 inches. The main camera is upgraded to 64MP, battery capacity is 4,500 with 25W fast charging support. Body colour options are the same as on the Galaxy A51. No word yet on the pricing and availability of the Samsung Galaxy A71.
