Infinix S5 launched with 6.6-inch Punch-hole display and Four Rear Cameras

Infinix Mobile has announced a new smartphone ready for the market – the Infinix S5. The budget device will succeed the Infinix S4 which was released in April 2019.

The S5 comes with a bigger display measuring 6.6-inch in size. The display features HD+ resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio and a punch-hole which is home to its 32MP selfie camera.

At the back of the device is a four-camera setup. For comparison, the Infinix S4 has only three cameras. The camera module features a 16MP main sensor, a 5MP ultrawide sensor, a 2MP depth sensor and a low-light sensor.

The 5MP ultrawide sensor is capable of taking macro shots of objects from 2.5cm distance as well. Towards the right of this camera setup is a square-shaped fingerprint reader. And below it is the Infinix brand logo.

Under the hood of the S5 is the same MediaTek Helio P22 SoC we saw on the Infinix S4. Software is also the same, as it comes with Android 9 Pie slapped with XOS 5.5 skin on top.

The memory configuration is a 4GB RAM with 64GB storage. Additional storage is possible up to 256GB with the help of microSD slot.

Powering the Infinix S5 is a non-removable 4,000 mAh battery. The device has two body colour options; Quetzal Cyan and Violet. It was announced in India today for around $125/€115 and will be available in Nigeria and other countries in the next couple of weeks
