Infinix Mobility has launched the S5 series smartphone in Nigeria. The S5 series is the sequel to the famous S4 series. The launch witness three new S5 smartphones; the Infinix S5, S5 Pro and S5 Lite. For the purpose of this article, we’ll be looking at the Infinix S5 Lite specs and price. Being “Lite” means the device is a toned-down version of the Infinix S5.

Infinix S5 Lite Design
The Infinix S5 Lite comes in front glass and glossy lustre back. Mere looking at it, you can tell how beautiful it is for a device at this segment. The display is the Infinix’s trademark Infinity-O display, which basically means punch-hole.
The punch-hole is at the left-hand side, unlike others where it is positioned at the right-hand side. At the back, is a dual camera module and a fingerprint reader. The fingerprint reader is positioned at the top middle and to its left-hand side is the camera module and LED flash.
Infinix S5 Lite Display
The display of the S5 Lite measures 6.6 inches in size. It features 720 x 1600 pixels resolution. The display is tagged “Super Cinema” by Infinix Mobility, referencing how ideal the big display is for watching movies.
Hardware and Software
Inside the Infinix S5 Lite is MediaTek Helio P22 SoC. The chipset features an Octa-core Cortex-A53 processor which clocks at 2.0 GHz and PowerVR GE8320 graphics processing unit. The chip is coupled with either a 3GB RAM or a 4GB RAM. Storage options available are 32GB and 64GB.
The phone comes with a microSD slot for additional storage up to 256GB. Software-wise, it runs on Infinix’s XOS 5.5 custom skin which is based on Android 9 Pie. One of the catchy gesture controls of this custom skin is the ability to answer an incoming call with a peace sign.
Camera
The camera is one of the highlights of the Infinix S5 Lite. The camera module at the back is home to a 13MP main sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. Inside the punch-hole is a 16MP selfie camera with artificial intelligence capabilities. You may want to check out the Infinix S5 if you want more camera specs. Battery
Powering the Infinix S5 Lite is a non-removable Li-Po 4,000 mAh battery capacity. During the launch, there is no word about fast charging support. Chances are, it doesn’t have such feature.
Infinix S5 Lite Price In Nigeria and Availability
The Infinix S5 Lite is scheduled to go on sale from November 19th. Pre-order is already available at any Infinix accredited offline store at N5,000.
With the pre-order, you stand a chance of winning an HD Bluetooth headset. The 3GB/32GB memory variant of the Infinix S5 Lite will cost N42,500 in Nigeria which is the same price with the Camon 12 Air while the 4GB/64GB variants go for N46,500
