Infinix S5 Lite Vs Camon 12 Air Specs & Price Comparison

Infinix S5 Lite and Tecno Camon 12 Air have a lot in common. They both have a display with a punch-hole camera. They are both mid-range devices and they also share similar internals which makes it hard to differentiate one from another.

In this comparison, I will be taking a look at their differences as well as their similarities. The reason is to help you decide which to buy if you’ve narrowed down your choices to these two devices.

Infinix S5 Lite Vs Camon 12 Air

The infinix S5 Lite is rocking a 6.6-inch display while the Tecno Camon 12 Air has a slightly smaller 6.55-inch display. Both displays have a 720p HD+ resolution with a punch-hole holding the camera at the top left side. There is, of course, a thicker chin and small bezels all around on both devices.

Turning both devices around reveals the triple camera setups on both devices lined up perfectly at the top left corner with a fingerprint sensor at its usual spot.

Infinix S5 Lite measure 7.9mm in thickness and weighs 178grams while the Tecno Camon 12 Air measures 8.1mm in thickness and weighs 170grams.

Colour options available for both devices are Quetzal Cyan, Violet and Nebula Black for infinix S5 Lite and Ocean Blue Gradient or Alpenglow Gold Gradient for the Tecno Camon 12 Air.

Hardware & Software

When it comes to the hardware, Infinix S5 Lite uses a Mediatek MT6761 Helio P22 SoC which is a 12nm Chipset with an octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz alongside a PowerVR GE8320 GPU.

Tecno Camon 12 Air, on the other hand, has a Mediatek Helio A22 with a Quad-Core processor clocked at 2.0GHz with the same PowerVR GE8320 GPU.

Infinix S5 Lite comes with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM which is paired with 32GB and 64GB of internal storage respectively.

Meanwhile, Tecno Camon 12 Air has only one RAM and storage configuration; 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage.

Storage on both devices can be expanded further through the microSD card onboard, up to 256GB. As for software, both devices are running Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with their respective Android skins slapped on top; XOS 5.5 on the infinix S5 Lite and HiOS 5.0 on the Tecno Camon 12 Air.

Camera, Battery & Connectivity

We have a similar camera placement on both these devices. They both have a punch-hole in their display with a camera in it and also a triple camera setup at the rear with a quad-LED flash.

Both the infinx S5 Lite and the Tecno Camon 12 Air both have a 16MP shooter as their main camera with an f/1.8 aperture. This is accompanied by a 5MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP depth sensor.

Both cameras come with quad-LED flash, HDR, Panorama and the ability to shoot 1080p videos at 30fps.

As for selfies, the infinix S5 Lite is equipped with a 32MP front-facing camera that can shoot 720p videos at 30fps while the Tecno Camon 12 Air has an 8MP selfie camera.

A 4,000mAh sits inside both devices with no word on fast charging. Speaking of charging, they both have a micro USB port for that. They both also have 4G LTE connectivity, Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi, WiFi hotspot and of course, a 3.5mm jack.

Infinix S5 Lite Vs Camon 12 Air – Price & Verdict

Infinix S5 Lite cost between N42,500 – N46,500 depending on the RAM and storage option you want.

The Infinix S5 Lite with 3GB RAM / 32GB ROM costs N42,500 while the Tecno Camon 12 Air with 3GB RAM/ 32GB ROM goes for about N42,500 as well.

The infinix S5 Lite processor and front camera are better than what you have on the Camon 12 Air.

From a price and specs perspective, the Infinix S5 Lite has a little edge over the Camon 12 Air. But it all depends on the brand you like
