Infinix Zero 8 debuts with Helio G90T SoC and 90Hz display

Chinese smartphone maker Infinity has launched the newest member of its Zero family. The new Infinix Zero 8 which debuts in Indonesia come with some interesting tech not seen before in an Infinix phone.

The Zero 8 is built around a large 6.85″ IPS LCD with 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. There is a pill-shaped cutout at the top left of the screen that houses two cameras – 48MP and 8MP for taking selfies.

Around the back is a unique rhombus-shaped camera module housing four cameras – a 64MP Sony IMX686 main sensor with EIS and 4K recording, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP sensor for shooting low light videos.

The MediaTek Helio G90T chipset is paired with an 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, which can be expanded via microSD slot. The device runs on Infinix’s XOS 7.0 based on Android 10 OS. Battery capacity is 4,500 mAh with 33W SuperCharge technology support. The fingerprint reader for biometric security is positioned at the side. While the 3.5mm headphone jack is at the bottom.

The Infinix Zero 8 is scheduled to go on sale on August 31 in Indonesia. The retail price is IDR 3,799,000/$258, there is going to be a limited-time promo where the price bumps down to IDR 3,099,000/$211. For the global market, the phone will debut on September 1 with a pricing of $250/INR18,500.
