Apple has officially entered the 5G market with the unveiling of their iPhone 12 series. The lineup debuts four new iPhones – iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. For this article, we’ll be looking at the two elderly ones, which is the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. Let’s check out their full specs, features and price.

Design and Display
The iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max come in a front and back glass with surgical-grade stainless steel frame. The front glass here is a Ceramic Shield that is much stronger than the regular Gorilla Glass. The side of the iPhones is squared off which resembles that the iPad Pros. They both have the industry-leading IP68 water resistance. And comes in four body colours – a new Pacific Blue along with the known Gold, Silver, and Graphite options.
The iPhone 12 Pro Max sports a 6.7″ Super Retina XDR display while the 12 Pro has the same 6.1″ display seen on the standard iPhone 12. They both have a 1,200 nits peak brightness for HDR movies and photos as well as a 60Hz refresh rate. The iPhone 12 Pro has a pixels resolution of 1170 x 2532 while the iPhone 12 Pro Max is up to 1284 x 2778. Protecting their OLED display is the Ceramic Shield which is said to be a lot tougher.
Hardware and Software
Inside the iPhone 12 series is the industry-first 5-nanometer A14 Bionic chipset. It comes with advanced components and increases efficiency for great battery life. It also has a new ISP powers Dolby Vision recording, a feature not available even in a pro movie camera. It is arguably the fastest chip ever in a smartphone, performing up to 11.8 trillion operations per second.
You can now stream high-quality HDR movies or download huge files on the go with the 5G superfast wireless network. The iPhone 12 series has the most 5G bands in the market right now. Camera and Battery
The iPhone duo sports a triple 12MP rear camera system consists of a wide, ultrawide and telephoto sensors. The iPhone 12 Pro Max sports a larger 1/1.7” sensor (1.7 µm pixels) which is 47% larger than what you have on the iPhone 12 Pro. The sensor along with the f/1.6 aperture allows for 87% more light. The iPhone 12 Pro retains the old sensor seen on the iPhone 11 Pro Max that manages to allow 27% more light.
The wide-angle camera features a Night mode portrait that gives you vivid colour and also beautiful bokeh effects. The Deep Fusion automatically kicks when you’re in a low-to mid-light environment. The iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max are the first smartphones to features a camera that records in Dolby Vision. Night mode is also available on the dual front camera – 12MP f/2.2 main sensor and SL 3D depth/biometric sensor, as well as Deep Fusion, Dolby Vision recording and Smart HDR 3.
The battery capacity on both iPhones is unspecified. They do support a 20W adapter which is sold separately and can charge to 50% in just 30 minutes. They support two types of wireless charging (15W MagSafe and 7.5W Qi).
