Koolnee K3 is the newest instalment to the K series from Koolnee that’s available on shopping stores. The Koolnee K3 is the successor to the K1 that trended on shopping stores throughout the first quarter of the year.

Koolnee K3 Design

The K3 is a beauty to behold, the K series from Koolnee are known for their sleek looking body and the K3 didn’t disappoint. It has a combination of Metal and Plastic that offers a Polymer feel.

There’s a 4D Curved Glass at the rear of the device that makes it reflects light more beautifully and stunning as well. The four curved sides of the device was made from selected PMMA materials just like the K1. It will be available in Blue, Black and Gold colors.

You’ll get a larger display obviously with the K3, the bezels at the top and bottom corner have been reduced further. It brings the full-screen technology in full force and dishes out an 18:9 aspect ratio.

The tall 6.01-inch FHD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen on the K3 was made by Sharp. It boasts of 1080 x 2160 pixels in resolution and 402 pixels per inch density, the screen also stretches up to 88.9% screen-to-body ratio.

Hardware and Software

It houses the mid-range MediaTek MT6750T chipset which was built on a 28nm technology. The chip comes with 8-cores of processor that reaches a speed of 1.5GHz. While the ARM Mali-T860 MP2 graphics card takes care of graphics.

There’s a standard 4GB of RAM on the device that handles multitasking. It also boasts of 833MHz in memory speed, while in the storage department, you get a bigger 64GB and a slot to upgrade up to 256GB. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.

Koolnee K3 Camera

Koolnee mounted dual 16MP + 2MP dual cameras at the rear from Sony with the dual-LED flash in-between. The 16MP main shooter uses an advanced 1-micron pixel. While the 8MP selfie camera has an f/2.2 aperture and supports Face ID.

The K3 supports 4G LTE and accommodates dual Nano SIM, it also has support for Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm jack, USB Type-C, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot and A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS.


The Koolnee K3 is powered by a non-removable Li-Po 3100mAh battery with fast and wireless charging technology. Koolnee K3 is available on shopping stores, starting from $199 to $249, that’s about (N70,000 – N85,000).
