LG G8s ThinQ is among the newest offering from LG which is pretty similar to its sibling the LG G8 ThinQ. LG G8s ThinQ has a slightly bigger screen at 6.2-inch which is also AMOLED, it uses a Snapdragon 855 SoC, has 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, a 3,550mAh battery with fast charging and wireless and also runs Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. LG G8s ThinQ Design And Display

LG G8s ThinQ has a premium looking design thanks to its front and back being covered with sturdy and beautiful Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It features a 6.2-inch notched AMOLED display with a small chin at the bottom.

The display had a 1080 x 2248 pixel screen resolution with a 402 ppi and HDR10. At the back is the triple camera setup alongside the fingerprint sensor just below it. It comes to win both single SIM and dual Hybrid SIM variants. Colour options are Carmine Red, New Aurora Black and New Moroccan Blue.

LG G8s ThinQ Camera Review

There are a total of three cameras at the back of the LG G8s ThinQ. The first is a 12MP camera with an f/1.5 aperture, OIS, PDAF and laser AF. Second is a 13MP wide-angle camera and the third is a 12MP telephoto lens with an f/2.4 aperture 2x optical zoom, OIS and PDAF. Features of the rear camera include an LED, HDR, Panorama and the ability to record 4k or 1080p videos at 30/60fps and 720p videos at 240fps, both with HDR and 24bit/192kHz stereo sound recording.

In the selfie department, LG G8s ThinQ has an 8MP front-facing camera with an f/1.7 aperture with AF which is paired with a TOF (Time Of Flight) camera. The latter will be used for Face Unlock and a new feature called Air Motion which allows you to use air gestures to control your device.

LG G8s ThinQ is also equipped with a Snapdragon 855 SoC on the inside – not the one with 5G – which has an Octa-core processor clocked at 2.84GHz paired with an Adreno 640 GPU. It comes with 6GB of RAM and 12GB of storage. Storage space can be expanded through the dedicated MicroSD card slot on the single-SIM variant and the second SIM Hybrid Slot on the dual SIM variant of up to 512GB. It runs the latest Android Operating System – Android 9.0 Pie – out of the box.

Battery & Network Connectivity

The 3,550mAh here on the LG G8s ThinQ supports both an 18W fast battery charging (Quick Charge 3.0) through the USB Type-C port and wireless charging. It has no 5G but it does have 4G LTE, GPS, WiFi, WiFi hotspot, WiFi direct, Bluetooth, NFC, FM radio and a 3.5mm jack.
