LG V35 ThinQ Launched, Snapdragon 845, Dual cameras, No Notch

LG V35 ThinQ has quietly been unveiled by the tech giant, the device ships with the latest Snapdragon 845 chip from Qualcomm. The V35 ThinQ is the updated version of the V30 ThinQ, bringing the Snapdragon 845 chip and other goodies as well.

DESIGN

At first glance, it looks exactly like how LG makes their flagship smartphones. It sports an aluminium alloy overall unibody with a frame as well. The body has MIL-STD-810G compliant making it as strong as the impact comes. It is also P68 certified, offering dust and water resistant with a Gorilla Glass 5 on top.

The dual shooters are in a horizontal position at the top middle, while the LED flash and heart rate monitor is beside it. The fingerprint scanner is also pretty much visible with the V35 ThinQ coming underneath. It measures just 7.3 mm in thickness and weighs 157g, it’s available in New Aurora Black and New Platinum Gray only.

DISPLAY

The LG V35 ThinQ dishes out a Full Vision display with its 18:9 aspect ratio screen. The sides bezels are pretty much non-existent while the top and bottom bezels are super minimal. It comes with HDR10 support, Dolby Vision and Always-on display.

The 6-inch P-OLED capacitive touchscreen is absolutely breathtaking, it has a resolution of 1440 x 2880 pixels and 537 pixels per inch density. Even with the super minimal bezels, the screen could only reach 81.2% screen-to-body ratio.

HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE

Under the hood, LG V35 ThinQ is powered by the Snapdragon 845 chip from Qualcomm which is currently the most powerful smartphone processor. The octa-core processor here runs at a blazing pace of 2.8GHz and is manufactured using the 10nm FinFET+ process technology. In the graphics department, Adreno 630 is in charge.

In terms of RAM and Storage, a massive 6GB RAM space is available to handle all your heavy multitasking, it has a memory speed of 2GHz as well. There are two storage variants, one with 128GB and a cheaper variant with 64GB. Both can be upgraded up to 400GB with microSD. The LG V35 ThinQ runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with LG UX 6.0+.

CAMERA

Camera-wise, the LG V35 ThinQ boasts a dual 16MP + 16MP shooters with f/1.6 and f/1.9 aperture respectively. The first shooter to the left has 1µm pixel size, 3-axis OIS and PDAF. While the other 16MP shooter which is a telephoto camera has no AF. Other features include phase detection & laser autofocus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama and others. Shoot 4K videos@30fps, 2160p@30fps, 1080p@30/60fps, 720p@120fps, 24-bit/192kHz stereo sound recording and HDR video. The 8MP selfie camera has f/1.9 aperture.

The LG V35 ThinQ is powered by a non-removable Li-Po 3300mAh battery with fast and wireless charging technology.
