The sixth edition of LG’s v-series is finally here. The new LG V60 ThinQ 5G comes with the latest premium specs and features in the industry.
The flagship device sports a large 6.8-inch OLED panel with FHD+ and a tall 20.5:9 aspect ratio. The waterdrop display which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5, houses the fingerprint reader for biometric security. There is also a revamped Dual Screen accessory that features a 6.8-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 360° free stop hinge. Inside the waterdrop notch is a 10MP selfie camera.
At the back of the LG’s flagship, you’ll find a triple camera module aligned in a horizontal position. The module features a 64MP f/1.8 main camera with Dual Pixel PDAF and OIS, a 13MP f/1.9 ultra-wide camera and a 0.3MP TOF 3D depth sensor. The camera has the capability of shooting 8K resolution video with HDR10+ support in normal mode.
The phone comes with Snapdragon 865 chipset which is accompanied by Qualcomm’s X55 modem. The X55 modem supports both flavours of 5G connectivity, mmWave for higher bandwidth and sub-6 GHz for better coverage. The 865 chip is married with an 8GB RAM and storage size of 128GB. Extra storage is possible via microSD slot.
Durability and endurance is not a question as the phone comes with IP68 dust/water-resistant and MIL-STD 810G compliant rating. Running inside the device is LG’s UX 9.0 custom skin which is based on Android 10 operating system.
The LG V60 ThinQ 5G packs a huge 5,000 mAh battery capacity. It supports Quick Charge 4+ wired charging as well as wireless charging.
The smartphone will be available later this spring in White and Blue body colours. Pricing information is yet to be released by the company but we can expect that in the coming months.
