MediaTek is rebranding and just announced the all-new MediaTek Dimensity 7050. The new chipset is similar to the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 launched at the end of last year.
The new processor is built on TSMCs N6 chip production process, and it comes with 2x ARM Cortex-A78 performance cores clocked at 2.6GHz and 6x Arm Cortex-A55 power efficiency cores firing at 2.0GHz. It has the Arm Mali-G68 MC4 as the GPU.
The new chipset supports up to 200MP camera sensors and can shoot 4K video at 30FPS. It can handle a Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage. The processor supports Bluetooth 5.2 and dual sim 5G connectivity.
It is expected to debut on the upcoming Lava Agni 2 5G smartphone in India Soon.
