Vivo Y78+ Announced with Large Display

Vivo just announced the Y78+ with a large screen and big battery for an affordable price. The phone is already on sale in China, and it costs CNY 1,600 for the model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage space. There is also a model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage space that costs CNY 1,800 and 12GB RAM and 256GB storage that costs CNY 2,000.

It has a large 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1080p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display can reach 1,300 nits of brightness which is very okay for a budget phone. It is slightly curved, and it also has an under-display fingerprint scanner. The battery is 5000mAh, and it supports 44 watts of fast charging. It charges through a USB C port but doesn’t have a headphone jack.

The phone supports Bluetooth 5.1, and it can handle aptX, LDAC, and HD/Adaptive. Despite being affordable, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 695 but Vivo didn’t add an expandable storage slot. The phone is running on Android 13 based on Origin OS 3, and you can add virtual RAM of up to 8GB RAM.

It has a 50MP primary camera that can shoot 1080p videos with a 2MP depth sensor and an 8MP selfie camera. The phone is available in black, yellow, and blue. It is the only variant of the Y78 model right now.
