The latest chipset from the stables of MediaTek is here, and it is none but the Dimensity 6100+ It is aimed at midrange smartphones and supports Sub-6 5G. It has two Cortex-A76 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores.
The chipset supports 10-bit 90Hz or 120Hz displays, AI-powered cameras up to 108MP, and 2K video capture. It also has ultra-save technology that offers 20% reduced 5G power consumption compared to competing chipsets.
The chipset comes with AI Bokeh for excellent, sharp portraits and selfies. There are also reports that MediaTek is working closely with Arcsoft to bring AI color Technology to mainstream devices. According to rumors, this will enable users to bring out their creativity, but we are yet to understand what it means.
The devices powered by the Dimensity 6100+ are expected to be available before the end of the year. Once the devices powered by the chipset are available, we will know more about the AI color technology and probably talk about it here. Make sure you check back for more news.
