Meizu C9 just made its Debut not long ago in India as an entry level notchless smartphone with some pretty decent specifications. Inside the device is a moderate 3,000mAh battery capacity, a new SoC from Unisoc, which was formerly Spreadtrum and an android 8.0 Oreo Operating System. Meizu C9 Design And Display

As expected, the device is made of plastic which is okay at this price point. At the back is a single camera with LED flash at the top and a loudspeaker at the bottom.

There is no fingerprint sensor here. Moving over to the front is a 5.54-inch 720p display with a 295ppi and an 18:9 aspect ratio. The top houses the single front-facing camera with no LED flash. Overall, the device weighs just 150 grams, measures 9.7mm and comes in just two flavours; Black and Blue.

Meizu C9 Camera Review

Meizu kept it simple with just two cameras; one at the back and the other at the front. The one at the back is a single 13MP camera with f/2.2, Auto focus, Panorama and an LED flash for low light photography. At the front is also a single 8MP camera with f/2.2 aperture and no flash night.

Meizu C9 Hardware and Software

Meizu decided to change things a bit here. Instead of using the popular MediaTek or Snapdragon chipset, they went for Unisoc, Which was formerly Spreadtrum. This device is rocking the Unisoc SC9832E which has four core clocked at 1.3GHz and is paired with a Mali-820MP1 GPU for gaming.

2GB of RAM handles all your multitasking while 16GB stores your files. If you need more storage, you’ll have to use the dedicated MicroSD card slot which can accommodate up to 128GB. As for operating system, the device runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with the company’s Flyme UI on top.

Battery & Network Connectivity

A 3,000mAh battery capacity powers this device with no fast charging which is understandable. There is 4G LTE, Bluetooth v4.2 with A2DP and LE, WiFi, WiFi hotspot and a microUSB 2.0 port.

Currently, the Meizu C9 is priced at INR 4,999 on Amazon India which is about €60. However, this is a promo price and will definitely go back to it’s normal price of INR 5,999 in a week time which is approximately €90.
