Meizu M9 Note to Launch with 48 MP main camera and 4,000mAh battery

A few days ago, we announced to you that Meizu was coming up with a holeless device. Well, the news has finally been confirmed. Meizu yesterday announced the Meizu Zero, a smartphone with no buttons or USB port but the Chinese company seems to be working on less revolutionary devices. Their flagship that is expected to be unveiled in mid-February is the Meizu M9 Note.

The Meizu M9 Note flagship will come with a dual rear camera system with the 48MP Samsung GM1 being the main sensor. That means it is a big 1/2˝ sensor with 0.8µm pixels (you can take that as 1.6µm because the 4 – in – 1 – pixel binning will be present which will lead to 12MP default images).

The founder of Meizu Huang Zhang has confirmed the news and he said that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset will power the expected M9 Note. The chip is said to be built on an 11nm process and uses kryo 460 CPU cores and the Adreno 612 GPU. The AnTuTu benchmark score for the Snapdragon 675 is around 170,000 which makes it one of the upper mid-range phones.

The flagship will come with 4,000mAh battery capacity with the price starting at around CYN 1,000 which is around $147 or €129 according to today’s exchange rate. It seems that the smartphone is going to compete with the recently unveiled Redmi Note 7. What do you think?
