It has a 6.2-inch notched display, 4GB or 6GB of RAM with 64GB or 128GB of internal storage depending on the configuration. It also has a dual rear camera setup, one of which is the new 48MP sensor. Meizu Note 9 Design And Display
This device has a 6.2-inch 1080p IPS LCD display with a 1080 x 2244 pixel screen resolution, 403ppi and a 19:9 aspect ratio. There is a water-drop cut out at the top housing the front-facing camera. There is also a significant amount of bezels at the top which isn’t as much as the one on the chin.
At the back are a dual camera setup, an LED flash and a fingerprint sensor at its usual spot. The device weighs 170grams and measures 8.7mm in thickness, thanks to the massive battery on the inside. Colour options for this device are Black, Blue and White. It also has a dual SIM slot with no MicroSD card slot for storage expansion.
Meizu Note 9 Camera Review
The main camera at the back of this device is a 48MP sensor with an f/1.7 aperture and PDAF which is accompanied by a secondary 5MP depth sensor camera. The dual rear camera is equipped with a dual-LED flash dual-tone flash and Panorama with the ability to shoot 1080p videos at 30fps. A 20MP front-facing camera sits in the notch at the top of the display with an f/2.0 aperture and handles selfies and video recording as well.
Meizu Note 9 Hardware and Software
Meizu Note 9 is among the first set of the device to use Snapdragon’s New SoC; Snapdragon 675. The SoC has an octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz and is paired with an Adreno 612 GPU for gaming and graphics. It has either 4GB or 6GB of RAM Depending on the configuration.
The 4GB RAM variant comes with either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage while the 6GB RAM variant comes with 64GB of internal storage only. Regardless of the configurations, there is no MicroSD card slot on them all so no storage expansion here. It does ship with Android 9.0 Pie though, which has Meizu’s Flyme UI 7.2 covering it.
Battery & Network Connectivity
The 4,000mAh battery here has an impressive 18W fast battery charging under Meizu’s proprietary fast charging Technology; mCharge through its USB Type-C port. Connectivity options on the phone include 4G LTE, dual-band WiFi, WiFi hotspot, WiFi direct, Bluetooth, GPS and the good old 3.5mm jack.
