Meizu V8 Pro was also introduced alongside the V8 during the Meizu event in China. The V8 Pro is the advanced version of the V8 coming with the dual rear camera and an improved chipset.

It’s powered by the Helio P22 chipset from MediaTek and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo. Furthermore, there’s a bigger 4GB RAM and 64GB storage space available as well, making it a “value for money” smartphone.

Meizu V8 Pro

Turning to the front, you’ll be greeted by the same full view display we saw on the V8. There’s no difference in terms of design as the company left the screen just the way it was on the V8. It sports a 5.7-inch HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels and 282 pixels per inch density for clear visuals. The screen also stretches up to 77.86% screen-to-body ratio.

Hardware and Software

Sitting behind the screen and doing all the work is the Helio P22 chipset from MediaTek. The chip was built on a newer 12nm process technology and comes with 8-cores of processor clocking at 2.0GHz. In the graphics department, the PowerVR GE8320 graphics processor takes charge.

For multitasking through apps, there’s a bigger 4GB RAM space available to handle all your heavy apps. While in the storage department, you get a bigger 64GB storage as well. It runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.

Camera, Network And Connectivity

Meizu brought on an extra 5MP shooter to accompany the 12MP rear camera for all your photography needs. The cameras both have f/2.2 aperture and a LED flash on top. While the 5MP selfie shooter has f/1.9 aperture.

The Meizu V8 Pro supports 4G LTE connectivity and accommodates dual Nano SIMs. It also has support for Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type C, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot and A-GPS, GLONASS.
