Meizu V8 has been launched as a budget-friendly smartphone from Meizu. The V8 targets those on a budget who wants to use a Meizu smartphone.

Design And Display
The V8 was built with Polycarbonate and it looks quite attractive for a budget smartphone. The rear camera starts a vertical train at the top middle, followed by the LED flash underneath.
The fingerprint scanner completes the train and offers quick access to the device. It will be available in Black and White colours and weighs just 145g, making it easy to hold and operate.
The phone is built around a full view display, the top and bottom bezels are pretty thick, but we can’t say the same for the narrow bezels which are super minimal and slim. It sports a 5.7-inch HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels and 282 pixels per inch density for clear visuals. The screen also stretches up to 77.6% screen-to-body ratio.
Hardware and Software
Running the race here is the MT6739 chipset from MediaTek. The chip was built on an older 28nm process technology and comes with 4-cores of processor clocking at 1.5GHz. In the graphics department, the PowerVR GE8100 graphics processor takes charge.
For multitasking through apps, there’s 3GB RAM space available which should be more than enough for light users. While in the storage department, you get 32GB storage. It runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
Camera, Network And Connectivity
There’s a 13MP camera mounted at the rear for photography, the camera has a 5-element lens and f/2.2 aperture. While the 5MP selfie shooter has f/1.9 aperture.
The Meizu V8 supports 4G LTE connectivity and accommodates dual Nano SIMs. It also has support for Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type C, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot and A-GPS, GLONASS.
Meizu V8 Price And Availability
The Meizu V8 is powered by a non-removable 3200mAh battery with no fast charging technology. Meizu V8 will be available on shopping stores, starting from $119 to $149, that’s about (N35,000 – N55,000).
