Microsoft Surface Go Launched: to Rival Apple’s iPad Pro 9.7-inch

If travelling light is what you care about, Microsoft has today released its latest productivity Slate known as Microsoft Surface Go. The New Microsoft Slate offering which is aimed at Apple’s iPad Pro 9.7-inch intends to target people who work on the Go as they will find the Surface Go a reliable companion for reading in portrait and as well as accessing other office documents.

The device which is billed to hit the shelves soon boasts a premium design reminiscent of its high end variant-the Microsoft Surface Pro. One side attraction of the Slate is its lightweight design, weighing only 1.15 pounds and measuring just 8.3mm in thickness.

Specs-wise, the Slate sports a 10-inch PixelSense display which is compatible with the optional Surface Pen, allowing 4096 levels of pressure. Powering it up is the 7th-Generation Intel Pentium Gold processor which is designed to provide reliable performance for your everyday tasks, In terms of RAM, there is 4 or 8GB of RAM to help in smooth processing and running of tasks. Memory option includes a 64GB storage paired with 4GB of RAM or 128GB storage with 8GB of RAM. In terms of battery life, Microsoft Claims, the Microsoft Surface Go can last up to 9 hours which can be charged via its USB Type-C 3.1 port once the battery is depleted.


The Microsoft Surface Go will be available for pre-order on July 10th in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Switzerland, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Poland, Italy, Portugal, and Spain starting from $399. However, additional features attract an extra price: the Surface Pen will cost $99, while the optional Go Signature Type Cover keyboard will set you back $99 – $129 depending on the colours.
