Umidigi One Pro has been launched as the upgraded variant of the Umidigi One smartphone. The device comes with more Internal storage and lots of quality features that are not on the Umidigi One.
First of all, the fast charging was bumped up from 5V/2A to 18W quick charge and also comes with 15W wireless fast charging. There’s now support for NFC and Android pay which allows you pay with a swipe. But the battery has been reduced a bit. Let’s find out more.

Design and Display
Just like the Z2 series, it looks identical to the Umidigi One with no major difference in design. It still looks sleek and stunning as usual, thanks to its Metallic unibody. The fingerprint scanner still sits by the side, for quick biometric access.
The vertically placed dual rear cameras at the top left corner add to the beauty of the device no doubt. With the LED flash sitting underneath, this flows with the current trend in the smartphone world. It’s also available in Twilight and Carbon Fiber colours.
You also get the notched screen here just like on the Z2 series, the Umidigi One Pro has one of the thinnest bottom chin I have ever seen on a smartphone. However, the notch is still thick and houses the usual features.
The same 5.9-inch HD+ In-Cell IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen is available here. It boasts of 1520 x 720 pixels in resolution and 287 pixels per inch density, delivering clear visuals. The screen stretches up to 90% screen-to-body ratio as well on the One Pro.
Hardware and Software
Just like on the Umidigi One, the One Pro is also powered by the Helio P23 chip from MediaTek which was built on a 16nm FinFET+ process node. The octa-core processor here is divided into 2 clusters reaching 2.0GHz max, while the ARM Mali-G71 MP2 clocks at 700MHz.
It has the same 4GB of RAM for multitasking just like on the first version. Whereas the storage space has been bumped up by 100% and you will be getting a bigger 64GB storage space. This can also go as high as 256GB with a memory card. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
Umidigi One Pro Camera
The One Pro sports 12MP + 5MP shooters at the rear for photography. The 12MP camera on top is an OV12870 sensor with a 6-element lens and f/2.0 aperture. The cameras come with a dual-LED flash and other features like Panorama, Face recognition and Real-time filters.
While the 16MP selfie camera from Samsung is an S5K3P3 sensor with a 5-element lens, f/2.0 aperture and other features like Selfie countdown and Face ID.
Network and Connectivity
The One Pro supports dual 4G VoLTE connectivity and accommodates dual Nano SIMs. It also has support for Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm jack, USB port, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot and A-GPS, NFC, GLONASS, BDS.
Battery
The Umidigi One Pro is powered by a non-removable Li-Po 3250mAh battery with fast charging technology. Umidigi One Pro will be available on shopping stores from August, starting from $169 to $199, that’s about (N60,000 – N70,000).
