Mobiistar X1 Dual is a new budget selfie-centric device from the Vietnamese smartphone maker. The dual in the name stands for or rather, represents the dual front-facing camera. It also has a single rear-facing camera, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, 3,000mAh battery capacity and runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. At the price point of just $100, the Mobiistar X1 dual brings a lot to the table. Let’s dissect the specifications.

Mobiistar X1 dual has 5.7-inch IPS LCD display. The display has a screen resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels with a pixel per inch density of 282 and an aspect ratio of 18:9, leaving enough space at the top for the dual front-facing camera, LED flash, speaker grill and proximity sensor. A 2.75D glass on top of the screen protects the display. There also a chin down at the bottom. At the back of the device is a single camera at the top centre with the LED flash and fingerprint sensor underneath respectively. The Body of this device is made of Polycarbonate materials + Acrylic Unibody and comes in just two colours; Blue and Black.

At the back of this device is a single 13MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture. The front facing camera, on the other hand, is a combination of a 13MP main camera with an f/2.0 aperture and PDAF accompanied by a secondary 8MP camera with an f/2.2 aperture. Both the front and rear facing cameras come equipped with an LED flash for low light shots. The rear camera is also equipped with HDR and Panorama. Video recording can only go as High as 720p on both the front and rear facing camera at a maximum of 30fps.

Mobiistar X1 Dual Hardware and Software

On the inside, MediaTek MT6737H, based on 28nm runs the show with 4 cores clocked at 1.3GHz alongside an ARM Mali-T720 MP1 GPU for gaming. It is equipped with 3GB of RAM for smooth multitasking and 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded via the MicroSD slot of up to 256GB. This device runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with Mobiistar’s Star OS slapped on top.

Battery & Network Connectivity

Powering this device is a 3,000mAh battery with no fast Charging. It has 4G LTE connectivity with support for VoLTE, WiFi, WiFi direct, WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm jack and a microUSB port with support for USB On The Go.
