Motorola One Power is another Android One smartphone from the tech giant, the One Power brings along dual rear cameras and a notch-screen. This is the first time in a while a Motorola smartphone doesn’t come with a “Moto” tag.
That’s not all, this is also the first Motorola smartphone to come with a notch. This means all smartphone giants have adopted the notch, well, except for Samsung. The One Power sports a tall screen and runs on Android Oreo.

Motorola One Power Design
The device has an aluminium alloy overall unibody, this is absolutely my favourite Motorola smartphone for the year. It looks totally different from what we typically see from the company. The Motorola logo at the rear doubles as the fingerprint scanner.
Of course, the iPhone X-like dual shooters has finally found its way to Motorola. Instead of the typical circular foundation going on at the top middle, the camera has been moved to the left in a vertical position with the LED flash coming underneath.
Motorola One Power Display
The notched screen isn’t going away anytime soon obviously. Motorola has finally adopted it and we are waiting for Samsung to follow suit. The screen dishes out a unique 19:9 aspect ratio, but you can hide the notch to get an 18:9 aspect screen.
The tall 6.2-inch FHD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen displays amazingly well. It has 1080 x 2280 pixels in resolution and 407 pixels per inch density, this should make the details on the screen clear enough.
Hardware and Software
The Snapdragon 636 chip from Qualcomm controls the wheel here. It was built on a 14nm process technology, so power efficiency should be great. The chip has 8-cores of processor that clocks at 1.8GHz. While the Adreno 509 graphics card does its job in the graphics area.
There are two variants in terms of RAM space, one has 4GB and an expensive variant has 6GB. Both reach a memory speed of 1.3GHz. The storage space is pegged at 64GB, however, a 128GB storage variant may be introduced as well. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo (Android One).
Motorola One Power Camera
The dual 12MP + 5MP rear shooters have f/1.8 and f/2.0 aperture respectively. In-between the cameras is a LED flash for night photography. The camera comes with other features like phase detection autofocus, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama and auto-HDR. It can shoot 4K videos at @30fps, and 1080p@30/60fps. The 8MP selfie camera has f/1.9 aperture and focuses on selfies.
Network and Connectivity
The Smartphone supports 4G LTE and accommodates dual Nano SIMs and a microSD card. It has Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot and A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS.
Motorola One Power Battery
The Motorola One Power is powered by a non-removable Li-Ion 3780mAh battery with fast charging technology. Motorola One Power is available on shopping stores, starting from $399 to $499, that’s about (N140,000 – N180,000).
