Motorola P30

This is officially Motorola’s first smartphone with the trendy notched screen. But the notch isn’t as super minimal as the one on the F9 Pro. There’s a Motorola inscription at the bottom chin.

The notch built around a 6.2-inch FHD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. This screen has a resolution of 1080 x 2246 pixels and 402 pixels per inch density for clear and sharp visuals. It stretches up to 82.0% screen to body ratio as well.

Hardware and Software

Motorola adopted the Snapdragon 636 chipset from Qualcomm here. The chip was built on a 14nm process technology and comes with an octa-core processor clocking at 1.8GHz. In the graphics department, the Adreno 509 runs the show.

It has 6GB of RAM for multitasking through apps, this should be more than enough for heavy users. The internal storage is different on two variants, there’s one with 128GB and a cheaper variant with 64GB. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with ZUI 4.0.

Camera, Network And Connectivity

The P30 comes loaded with dual 16MP + 5MP shooters from OmniVision with f/1.8 + f/2.2 aperture respectively, while a Dual-LED flash sits in-between. There’s a 12MP Selfie camera on the notch that comes with a LED flash as well.

The P30 supports 4G LTE connectivity and accommodates dual Nano SIMs. It has support for Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm jack, USB TypeC, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot and A-GPS, GLONASS.

Battery, Price And Availability

The Motorola P30 is powered by a non-removable Li-Po 3000mAh battery with fast charging technology. Motorola P30 will be available on shopping stores, starting from $289 to $303, that’s about (N90,000 – N105,000).
