Doogee S70 is an upcoming smartphone from Doogee. The device has been creating buzz online and according to Doogee, it is the world’s first gaming rugged smartphone. Interesting, right?

So what specs and special features does Doogee S70 come with?

Firstly, This rugged gaming explorer comes loaded with a 5500mAh battery, a Cooling Boost, gamepad accessory, NFC and wireless charging.

When you’re in the mood for some gaming time, you can easily press the side key to enter the gaming mode. This will automatically pause all other applications so the CPU can focus on your game.

Design And Display

An absolutely rugged beast, the S70 comes with IP68 and IP69K certifications boasting of water and dust resistant and offering rigidity. This means you have no worry when it rains or when you are in a dusty environment.

As a rugged smartphone, it is MIL-STD-810G certified and the body is made from a combination of aluminium alloy and polycarbonate body.

There’s a foundation at the top middle that houses the dual rear camera, LED flash and fingerprint scanner. It measures 13.6mm in thickness and weighs 278g overall.

It has a tall Full View display no doubt, this is quite impressive for a gaming rugged phone. The usual features are seen at the top bezels, while the Doogee logo sits right underneath. The screen features a 5.99-inch FHD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen having a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels and 403 pixels per inch density for clear and sharp visuals. In terms of screen to body ratio, It stretches up to 66.92%.

Hardware and Software

To ensure a smooth gaming experience, Doogee adopted the Helio P23 chip from MediaTek. This comes with its 16nm process node and octa-core processor clocking at 2.3GHz. Handling graphics is the ARM Mali-G71 MP2 graphics card.

It has 6GB of RAM for multitasking through all your heavy games. The internal storage space was pegged at 64GB, but you can expand up to 128GB using a memory card. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.

Camera And Connectivity

The S70 is equipped with dual 12MP + 5MP rear shooters with f/1.8 aperture and 1.4um pixel size from Sony. It sports a 16MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture from Samsung for all your selfies.

The S70 supports 4G LTE connectivity and accommodates dual Nano SIMs. It has support for Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm jack, USB TypeC, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot and A-GPS, GLONASS. It is also interesting to know that Doogee S70 will come with an NFC chip, it will be powered by a non-removable Li-Po 5500mAh battery with for support wireless charging, and a 24W flash charger as well.

Availability

Talking about availability, the DOOGEE S70 is not available yet, already it has been announced by the company via its official website. The device will be a crowd-funded and is already listed on the popular crowd-funding website- Indiegogo.
