Last year, we saw OnePlus come out with the Nord Series for its mid-rangers. This year, the company is back with a potential new series. The new OnePlus 9R could be the first of many under the R-series? The smartphone is released to the Indian market only.
It is built around a 6.55″ Fluid AMOLED display with HDR10+ and 1080p+ resolution. The display features a 240Hz touch sampling rate and a 120Hz refresh rate.
The camera setup of the OnePlus 9R packs a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor with OIS, a 16MP Sony IMX481 ultrawide sensor with 123° FoV, a 5MP macro and 2MP monochrome sensors. The camera features EIS, Video Portrait mode, and can record 4K video at 60fps.
Inside the OnePlus 9R is the Snapdragon 870 chipset which uses a vapour chamber to keep the phone temp cool especially when gaming. Battery-wise, it packs a 4,500 mAh capacity and supports Warp Charge 65W.
The smartphone will be available on April 14 in Carbon Black and Lake Blue body colours. The base model of 8/128GB will cost INR 40,000 which translates to $550/€465. While the second memory configuration option of 12/256GB costs INR 44,000 ($605/€510).
