Oppo R15 was recently announced by OPPO. The device was one of the most anticipated smartphones of the year and comes with a Dream Mirror Edition as well. The company still stick with the MediaTek chip on the R15, as it packs an impressive 6GB of RAM, 128GB Storage and the trending top-notch bezel-less display. Without further ado, meet the Oppo R15.

DESIGN
Sports a Metal and Ceramic twist and looks more beautiful than ever. No dramatic feature at the rear, but that’s how Oppo loves making their devices. Nonetheless, it exudes class and style, while the only notable feature is the dual horizontal rear shooters.
Sitting beside the cameras is a dual-LED flash. The fingerprint scanner is still in the usual position, seems the company isn’t ready for the in-display scanner trend. It’s very slim as well, measuring just 7.4 mm in thickness and weighing 175g overall. It’s only available in three colours. which are Red, Purple and White.
DISPLAY
Oppo has finally joined Vivo, ASUS and the rest, the trending bezel-less display with top-notch is here to stay guys. Unlike what we saw on other flagships, the top-notch Oppo R15 is now very minimal, housing just the important features.
The bezel-less display is a 6.28-inch FHD+ AMOLED capacitive touchscreen that is absolutely breathtaking. The visuals on this baby would be mind-blowing, with 2280 x 1080 pixels in resolution and 402 pixels per inch density. Vivo and Oppo are clearly in competition in terms of a screen-to-body ratio, as this reaches an astonishing 84%.
HARDWARE and SOFTWARE
Working tirelessly underneath is the Mediatek Helio P60 MT6771 chip with an Octa-core processor and 64-bit CPU architecture. The processor boasts a clock speed of 2.0GHz and a 16nm process technology for smooth overall performance. In the graphics department, the ARM Mali G72 MP3 runs at 800MHz and controls it all.
Multitasking with 6GB RAM should be hassle-free coupled with a memory speed of 1866MHz. While for storage, you can literally store up all files in the 128GB space and later upgrade up to 256GB. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box of course, with ColorOS 5.0.
CAMERA
The dual 16MP + 5MP shooters at the rear have f/1.7 aperture and 2.2 aperture respectively. The cameras would work together and capture photographs with approximately 4608 x 3456 pixels in dimension and 4K videos. The 20MP selfie camera on the Oppo R15 has f/2.0 aperture as well, for cute selfies.
BATTERY
The Oppo R15 is powered by a removable Li-Po 3450mAh battery with fast charging technology.
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
Oppo R15 will be available from April for $499 to $549, that’s about (N150,000 – N170,000).
