Oukitel C17 Pro is a new smartphone from Oukitel which is pretty much, as you can tell, an upgrade from the Oukitel C16 Pro with a lot of bumps in both features and design.
The new Oukitel C17 has a 6.35-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a punch-hole camera, Mediatek Helio P23 SoC on the inside, 4GB of RAM and 64GGB of internal storage. It also has a triple rear camera set-up, a fingerprint sensor and a 3,900mAh battery with support for fast charging.
Let’s get to know more.
Oukitel C17 Pro Key Specs
- 6.35-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 720 x 1560 pixels
- Android 9.0 Pie, 4GB Of RAM
- MediaTek Helio P23, Quad-core 2.5GHz
- 64GB built-in storage
- 13MP + 5MP + 2MP rear camera and 5MP selfie camera.
- 3,900mAh non-removable battery
Design And Display
For a device that cost below $150, it has quite a good design. The body is made from Plastic as expected for a budget device with aluminium alloy frame all around.
The 6.35-inch HD+ display which uses a 19:9 aspect ratio with a punch-hole cutout located at the top left top corner of the device’s display for the camera has an Ashi Dragontail glass protecting the display. There is also quite a little bit of chin down at the bottom.
At the back, we have the triple camera setup lined up vertically alongside the LED flash and the fingerprint not that far away from it. It uses a Hybrid SIM card slot which means you can use 2 SIM cards or 1 SIM card and 1 microSD card for additional storage space. This device comes in colours Black, Green and Blue.
Oukitel C17 Pro Camera Review
Oukitel C17 Pro has a total of 4 Cameras, three of which are the back. The ones at the back comprise of a main a 13MP main sensor, a secondary 5MP shooter and lastly, a 2MP depth sensor camera for depth Sensing in portrait mode shots.
The rear camera has a dual-LED flash, HDR, Autofocus, Panorama and can shoot 1080p and 720p videos at 30fps. For selfies, the single front-facing 5MP shooter in the notch does the job.
Hardware and Software
Under the hood is the Helio P23 SoC from Mediatek which clocks speeds of up to 2.5GHz alongside a Mali-G71 MP2 GPU for graphics and games that clocks up 770 MHz.
We have 4GB of RAM here which is more than enough to run the Android 9.0 Pie it comes with along with any additional apps you might want to run.
As for storage, it has 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded further via the second SIM card slot which also doubles as a microSD card slot.
Battery and Connectivity
Powering the other components of this device is a 3,900mAh battery which, unfortunately, doesn’t seem to have any form of fast charging.
It does, however, have a 4G LTE connectivity, Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi, WiFi hotspot, WiFi direct, a 3.5mm jack and of a USB Type-C port for charging and transferring of files.
