Oukitel K12 Design And Display
Oukitel K12 design looks one of a kind as it has a combination of Metal for the backplate around the dual camera and fingerprint sensor, leather for the rest of the device’s back and aluminium alloy for the frame of the device.
Everything about the design of the device tells a tale about “Exquisite Craftsmanship” as oukitel put it. They also said that the leather is also more resistant to wear and tear, unlike the others. Coming to the display, it is a 6.3-inch IPS LCD display with an FHD+ resolution and a 19:9 aspect ratio with a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera.
The is perhaps one of a kind smartphone as it has no other colour options (Just the one with leather, metal and aluminium alloy frame). It measures 14.5mm in thickness and would most likely weigh a ton given the battery capacity on the inside. There is a hybrid SIM card slot here which means either Two SIM cards or 1 SIM card and 1 microSD card for more storage.
Oukitel K12 Camera Review
Similar to the Oukitel K9, the Oukitel K12 has a total of three cameras, two at the back and one at the front for selfies. The selfie camera is an 8MP sensor with FaceID support. At the back, we have a 16MP main sensor accompanied by a secondary 2MP depth sensor for portrait mode shots. The rear camera is capable of shooting 1080p videos at 30fps with features like a dual-LED flash for low light photography, PDAF, panorama, HDR and more.
Software & Performance
Oukitel went with the same Helio P35 SoC from Mediatek which was used in the Oukitel K9 for the Oukitel K12 here. The MediaTek Helio P35 SoC is a chipset based on the 12nm process technology with an octa-core processor clocking speeds of up to 2.3GHz alongside a PowerVR GE8320 GPU for graphics and games.
4GB of RAM takes care of multitasking through apps while 64GB of internal storage stores your files. More storage can be added but at the expense of a SIM card as it uses a hybrid SIM card slot – Two SIM or One SIM and a microSD card. You can add additional storage of up to 256GB via the second SIM card slot which also doubles as a microSD card slot. It runs Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with Oukitel skin slapped on top.
Battery and Connectivity
Powering this device is am hefty 10,000mAh battery which is perhaps one of the highlights of this device. Obviously, this device has fast battery charging, 5V/6A to be exact, in order to be able to re-up quick.
According to Oukitel, you should be able to get a full charge in 2hours 20minutes. It also has 4G LTE connectivity with support for global bands. Other features of the Oukitel K12 includes WiFi, WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS, a 3.5mm jack and a USB Type-C port for charging and file transfer.
