After months of speculation and rumours, Chinese mobile phones maker-Gionee has finally unveiled Gionee M7, the 7th iteration smartphone in the marathon Series. Two smartphones were announced by the brand today-Gionee M7 and M7 Power. The Gionee M7 is the first smartphone to be powered by the recently introduced MediaTek P30 and is aided with 6GB of RAM. Gionee M7 and M7 Power One of the major highlights of the M7 is the expansive 6.0-inch screen and comes with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels, Gionee calls this FullVision having an aspect ratio of 18:9. It seems 18:9 ratio is the standard for 2017 flagships and we have been inundated with many of them already. Gionee M7 will be joining the Samsung Galaxy S8, Note 8, LG V30, Xiaomi Mix 2 and the Apple iPhone x which already have the multimedia-focused 18:9 ratio display. The MediaTek P30 is an octa-core processor with eight Cortex-A53 cores, four of them are high-power cores clocked at 2.3 GHz. It has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and comes in five fashionable colours of Sapphire Blue, Star Blue, Maple Red, Champagne Gold and Black. It has a 5000mAh battery with fast charging. However, M7 Power has 6.0-inch HD FullView Display and a screen resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor with Adreno 505 GPU. This is aided with a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded to 256GB via micro SD card slot. On the camera side of thing, the M7 Power features a 13-megapixel camera with flash, while on the front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie-snapper. Just like the M7, the device comes with a fingerprint sensor at the back and it runs on Amigo 5.0 based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
