Realme X50 Pro 5G launched with Six Cameras, SD865 and 65W Charging

Oppo’s sub-brand, Realme debuts the company’s first true flagship device for the global market – Realme X50 Pro 5G. This will be the second 5G smartphone from Realme, the first being the Realme X50 which was released last month.

The Realme X50 Pro 5G comes with a 6.44-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display panel that features 90Hz refresh rate. This premium display is behind a Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Underneath the display panel is a fingerprint reader, which can scan fingerprint in just 0.27 seconds.

Powering this flagship is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset that is married with a 5G modem. The chip comes with either an 8GB or 12GB of RAM size. It comes with two UFS 3.0 storage options; 128GB and 256GB. For increased performance, the device features TurboWrite and Host Performance Booster. There is also a vapour cooling system to keep the device at normal temperature when gaming.

At the rear top, left corner is a quad-camera module arraigned in a vertical position. The module features a 64MP Samsung ISOCELL GW1 sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultrawide-angle shooter with f/2.3 aperture, PDAF and 119° Field of View, a 12MP telephoto sensor with f/2.5 aperture and 2x optical zoom. The fourth camera is a depth sensor with portrait mode used for enhancing bokeh photos. The selfie camera is two and they are both housed in a pill-shaped hole inside the display. It consists of a 32MP Sony IMX616 lens and an 8MP ultrawide lens.

Battery life isn’t a concern here, thanks to a 4,200 mAh capacity that supports 65W SuperDart flash charge. This charging technology lets you fill the battery from 0% to 100% within 35 minutes. A 20 minutes charge gets you to about 60%. The device runs on Realme’s custom user interface that is based on Android 10 operating system.

The Realme X50 Pro 5G will be available for sale in Rust Red and Moss Green body colours. The base memory configuration of 8GB/128GB will cost €599 while the 8GB/256GB goes for €669. You’ll need to bring out €749 to buy the 12GB/256GB memory variant.
