Xiaomi has announced its first entry-level smartphone of 2023 and it’s the Redmi 12C. The phone has a plastic build with a textured finish and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. It also supports dual 4G sim card slots. There are two cameras at the back that include a 50MP main camera and a 0.8MP depth lens. The selfie camera up front is 5MP and you can shoot 1080p videos with the cameras on the phone.
The Redmi 12C comes with a 6.71-inch IPS LCD display with a 720p resolution and 82% screen-to-body ratio. It is a budget device and it is priced aggressively so expectations have to be kept in check. There is no high refresh rate but it maintains the standard 60Hz refresh rate. The phone is running on Android 12 and MIUI 13 is the user interface.
We have the MediaTek Helio G85 powering the phone with 4 or 6GB RAM and 64 or 128GB storage. There is also a dedicated SD card slot for memory expansion.
The Phone is available in different colors including Blue, Mint, Violet, and Black. It comes with a 5000mAh battery and it only supports 10Watts fast charging.
