Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition debuts with the new Snapdragon 768G chipset

Xiaomi has gone ahead to release the newest member of the Redmi K30 series today. The new Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition becomes the first smartphone to be powered by the Snapdragon 768G chipset, which was released by Qualcomm today.

Apart from the overclocked CPU and GPU, the 768G chip is no different from the 765 chipset. This chipset and the body colour are what separates the Redmi K30 Racing Edition from the Redmi K30 where are accustomed. These days, you don’t really have many specs and features separating smartphones.

Anyways, the Redmi K30 Racing Edition features a 6.67-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution. The display houses a pill-shaped hole for two selfie cameras – 20MP and 2MP. The back camera module embedded in a crucial frame features a 64MP main lens, an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 5MP macro lens.

The Snapdragon 768G inside the Redmi K30 Racing Edition features a CPU clocked at 2.8GHz and a GPU that clocks at 725 MHz. The smartphone has just one memory configuration – 6GB RAM with 128GB inbuilt storage.

Battery-wise, it packs a 4,500 mAh capacity and supports 30W fast wired charging. The phone is already available via reservation in China at CNY2,000/$282. While official sales start on May 14.
