American tech company Qualcomm has released its latest chipset under the 7-series. The new Snapdragon 768G comes with integrated 5G modem and what looks like an overpowered CPU & GPU.
The central processing unit of the chipset has the capability of going up to 2.8GHz. While the Adreno 620 graphics processing unit clocks at 725 MHz. According to Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 768G chipset will deliver a “true” global 5G and immersive gaming experience.
The gaming-oriented chipset is the first under the 7-series to feature the “updateable” GPU drivers. It is also capable of supporting screens of up to 120Hz refresh rate. The X52 modem featured in the chipset is identical to what we have in the Snapdragon 765 chip. It supports frequency bands of both the sub-6GHz and mmWave, global 5G roaming, NSA modes and SA modes.
The first smartphone to feature the Snapdragon 768G chipset is the Redmi K30 Racing Edition. The smartphone will also be released by Xiaomi today.
