The base model Redmi Note 12 has two cameras, a 48MP main camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. It also has an 8MP selfie camera housed in the notch. The display size is 6.67 inches just like we get on the pro models. It uses a Samsung AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1080p resolution. The bezels around the display of the base model are more noticeable. It also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner as compared to the under-display scanner on the pro models.
The Redmi Note 12 has a plastic build at the back and frames, and it weighs less than 200 grams making it lightweight. It also supports dual 5G sim cards and surprisingly it doesn’t have a memory expansion slot. The phone has a loudspeaker with a headphone port which is something we don’t often see nowadays.
It is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 and it is running on Android 12 and MIUI 13 is the interface. The RAM is 4, 6, or 8GB and storage space can be 128GB or 256GB it is weird that there is no memory expansion on the phone. It comes with a 5000mAh battery and it also supports 33Watts fast charging.
