Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 has been launched as the latest instalment to the A series. Surprisingly, the Galaxy A7 2018 is the first smartphone from Samsung to be equipped with a triple rear camera.
This is coming after there were a lot of rumours about the upcoming Galaxy S10 being the first smartphone to have the feature. Well, Samsung has surprised everyone with the Galaxy A7 2018.

Design And Display
The Galaxy A7 2018 sports an aluminium alloy overall unibody and it looks like the most attractive smartphone from Galaxy’s A series. Well, that might be because of the triple rear camera at the back.
The cameras were placed exquisitely at the top left corner with the LED flash coming underneath. The Samsung logo takes centre stage of course. The device measures 7.5mm in thickness and weighs 168g overall.
Don’t let the triple rear camera fool you, Samsung is still insisting it doesn’t want to have anything to do with the trending notch display. The A7 2018 sports the standard full view display we saw on the Galaxy J6 Plus. It’s a 6-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1080 x 2220 pixels and 411 pixels per inch density for clear visuals. The screen also stretches up to 74.69% screen-to-body ratio.
Hardware and Software
Under the hood, Samsung integrated the Exynos 7 Octa 7885 chipset which was built on a 14nm process technology. The chip comes with an octa-core processor and a clock speed of up to 2.2GHz. In the graphics department, the ARM Mali-G71 graphics processor takes charge.
There are two versions in terms of RAM and storage space. There’s one with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage space and a cheaper variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage space as well. It runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
Camera, Network And Connectivity
Now to the highlight of the decade. The phone is equipped with a triple 24MP + 8MP + 5MP rear shooters with f/1.7 + f/2.4 + f/2.2 aperture respectively. The cameras can shoot 4K videos as well. There’s another 24MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture for super clear selfies.
The Galaxy A7 2018 supports 4G LTE connectivity and accommodates dual Nano SIMs. It also has support for Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type C, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot and A-GPS, GLONASS.

The Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 is powered by a non-removable 3300mAh battery with fast charging technology. Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 will be available on shopping stores, starting from $399 to $449, that’s about (N140,000 – N160,000).
