Samsung Galaxy J6 Plus was also introduced alongside the J4 Plus as the tech giant tries to target those on a budget with these new devices. The J6 Plus is an updated variant of the J6 that was introduced months ago.

Unlike the J4 Plus, the J6 Plus sports dual rear camera for photography. Nonetheless, it’s powered by the Snapdragon 425 chip and sports full view display.

Design And Display

The Galaxy J6 Plus has a Plastic body just like the J4 Plus. However, we can see the dual rear shooters at the top middle Instead of a single camera. There’s a LED flash right beside the cameras.

Underneath, we can see the Samsung logo sitting pretty in the middle. It will be available in Black, Gray and Red colours. The fingerprint scanner has moved to the sides as well. It measures 7.9mm in thickness and weighs 178g.

The phone is built around a full view display, the top and bottom bezels are pretty thick, just like we saw on the J4 Plus. This further proves that Samsung isn’t interested in the notch display as well. It sports the same 6-inch HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1480 pixels and 274 pixels per inch density for clear visuals. The screen also stretches up to 74.09% screen-to-body ratio.

Hardware and Software

Under the hood, the same Snapdragon 425 budget chip takes control here. The Chip comes with its 4-cores of processor reaching a clock speed of up to 1.4GHz. In the graphics department, the Adreno 308 graphics processor takes charge.

There are two variants in terms of RAM space and storage, there’s one with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage and a cheaper variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. It runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.

Camera, Network And Connectivity

Samsung brought a 5MP shooter at the camera to compliment the 13MP camera here. The cameras boast of f/1.9 + f/2.2 aperture respectively with a LED flash. While the 8MP selfie shooter has f/1.9 aperture and front flash as well.

The Galaxy J6 Plus supports 4G LTE connectivity and accommodates dual Nano SIMs. It also has support for Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type C, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot and A-GPS, GLONASS.

The Samsung Galaxy J6 Plus is powered by a non-removable 3300mAh battery with no fast charging technology. Samsung Galaxy J6 Plus will be available on shopping stores, starting from $249 to $299, that’s about (N85,000 – N100,000).
