Samsung Launches Galaxy F55 5G in India with Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 and 50MP Camera

Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy F55 5G smartphone in India, ending a brief period of anticipation. This latest addition to Samsung’s lineup sports a vegan feather finish and is essentially a rebranded version of the Galaxy C55, which is exclusively available in China.

Samsung Galaxy F55 Specs:

The Galaxy F55 5G features a 6.7-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1000 nits. It runs on Android 14 and has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. Customers can choose from three variants: 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 12GB/256 GB.

Regarding photography, the Galaxy F55 5G boasts a triple rear camera setup. This includes a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, there’s a 50MP camera designed for high-quality selfies.

The phone is powered by a 5000mAh battery that supports 45W rapid charging, though the charger is not included in the box. Additional features include USB 2.0, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, dual stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and IP67 water and dust protection. The smartphone also comes with Samsung’s Knox security and promises to receive four years of Android updates and five years of security patches.

Pricing and Availability

Pricing for the Galaxy F55 5G starts at Rs. 26,999 for the 8GB/128GB model, Rs. 29,999 for the 8GB/256GB model, and Rs. 32,999 for the 12GB/256GB model.

To celebrate the launch, Samsung is offering Rs. 2,000 cashback on HDFC bank transactions. Customers can also purchase a 45W power adapter for Rs. 499 or a Galaxy Fit 3 smartwatch for Rs. 1,999. These promotions are valid until May 31st. The device’s first sale is set to begin at 7 PM today.
