Just a day after the Specs of the Sony Xperia XZ4 was leaked ahead of its official unveiling, rumours have surfaced online claiming that the Sony Xperia XZ4 will be coming with a 52MP sensor. The highest that can be seen on any smartphone so far. Honor View 20 has the highest record so far with a 48MP sensor.
The device will be coming with a three-camera system. There will be a 16MP telephoto camera with an f/2.6 aperture lens in the first camera. The middle will have a 52MP camera with f/1.6 while the third camera at the bottom will come with 0.3MP ToF sensor with an f/1.4.
With the direction most Chinese phone makers are following these days majorly with computational photography, it seems that the 52MP sensor might technically use a 4 to 1-pixel binning to create a 13MP image. We still don’t think that this leak is legit. But according to the report, the image of the render relies on a CAD drawing which was revealed previously. And this revelation does not in any way reflect the final hardware design.
According to yesterday’s leak, the device will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The device will also come with a 6.5 – inch QHD + display with a 21.9 aspect ratio. It will run on a 4,400mAh battery capacity. If the above specifications are correct, Sony will join the league of Chinese phone makers to produce devices with the latest Snapdragon 855 chipset. Although Samsung and LG might relegate them.
If we expect any news from Sony, that would be during the MNC conference which is close. Although even if the device is announced by Sony during the program, reports has revealed that the device won’t be available until summer. This is going to be a long time and many people might not have the patience to wait for the device. Some people might go for other options before that time. What do you think
