Tecno has just introduced three new smartphones to the camera-centric Camon lineup under the names; Tecno Camon 12, Camon 12 Pro and Camon 12 Air, three of which are succeeding the previous Tecno Camon 11 smartphone from last year.
We will be taking a quick look at some of their specifications, features as well as their prices in Nigeria.
The Camon 12 Pro
Starting off the list from the most feature-packed of the bunch, which is the Tecno Camon 12 Pro.
It has a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch housing the front-facing 32MP camera and a dual-LED flash.
There is also a Corning gorilla glass 3 slapped on top of the display. There is an under-display fingerprint sensor for biometric unlock.
The back is packed with a triple camera setup (16MP + 8MP + 2MP) alongside a Quad-LED flash. Inside the device is the MediaTek helio P22 chipset coupled with 6GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage. You get a 3,500mAh battery that boots up Tecno’s HiOS 5.5 which is based on Android 9.0 Pie.
The Camon 12 and 12 Air
The Camon 12 and 12 Air have a slightly bigger 6.52-inch and 6.52 HD display which is also covered with a corning gorilla glass 3.
Both devices also have a plastic back. Tecno Camon 12’s display has a pretty basic waterdrop notch for the front-facing camera while the Camon Air, on the other hand, has a screen hole at the top left side of the device.
Both the Tecno Camon 12 and 12 Air also have a triple camera setup albeit with different configurations.
The Tecno Camon 12 has camera combination of 16MP + 8MP + 2MP while the Camon Air has a 16MP + 5MP + 2MP combination, both of which comes with a Quad-LED flash.
They both also have Mediatek Helio P22 Chipset with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage on the Tecno Camon Air and 4GB of RAM with 64GB of storage on the Tecno Camon 12. Both devices storage are expandable via the onboard microSD card.
Both devices also have a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, 4,000mAh battery and run Tecno’s HiOS 5.0 based on Android 9.0 Pie. All three devices support 4G LTE connectivity with similar colours.

All three devices will be hitting the shelves in the coming weeks at the stipulated prices and will also be available at various online and offline stores.
