TECNO Camon i Twin Launched With Dual cameras and a Snapdragon Processor

The TECNO Camon i Twin has been introduced in India as the upgraded version of the Camon iClick device. TECNO partnered with Reliance Jio to offer the smartphone in the country.

The Camon i Twin boasts of 3GB RAM and 32GB storage space, it also houses a Snapdragon chip which is not what we typically see on TECNO devices. You also get to play with dual rear cameras. Let’s find out more.

Design And Display

The device looks like most of the smartphones we’ve seen from the Camon series. It has a combination of Plastic and Metal, this brings out the very best of the body making it look premium.

It sports dual curved antenna lines as well, there’s one at the top and another at the bottom. The fingerprint scanner is in its usual position, while the dual rear shooters sit comfortably at the top left corner. It measures 8.5mm in thickness as well.

TECNO isn’t ready for the notch yet, the Camon i Twin sports the usual fuller 18:9 aspect ratio screen. Nonetheless, the top and bottom bezels are pretty thick.

The front is built around a 6-inch HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, this boasts of 720 x 1440 pixels in resolution and 268 pixels per inch density for clear visuals. It stretches up to 76.16% screen-to-body ratio and sports NEG Dinorex T2X-1 glass on top.

Hardware and Software

Under the hood, the Snapdragon 425 chip from Qualcomm does the job. However, it was built on an older 28nm process node. There’s a quad-core processor clocking at 1.3GHz, while the Qualcomm Adreno 308 dominates graphics.

It comes loaded with 3GB of RAM space for multitasking, this reaches a memory speed of 667MHz. In the storage department, there’s a 32GB storage space as well, this can be upgraded up to 128GB using a memory card. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo as well.

Camera, Network And Connectivity

It’s equipped with dual 13MP + 2MP shooter at the rear, this supports Portrait Mode and lets you take photographs with Bokeh Effect. The 13MP selfie camera has AI Beauty Mode and supports Face ID.

The Camon i Twin supports 4G LTE connectivity and accommodates dual Nano SIMs. It also has support for Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm jack, USB port, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot and A-GPS, GLONASS.

Battery, Price And Availability

The TECNO Camon i Twin is powered by a non-removable Li-Po 4000mAh battery with fast charging technology. TECNO Camon i Twin will be available on shopping stores, starting from $149 to $179, that’s about (N50,000 – N60,000).
