TECNO Camon iAce 2X arrived alongside the Camon iAce 2 packing more RAM and a fingerprint sensor at the back. The former also has the same 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, MediaTek’s Helio A22, 3,050mAh battery capacity and runs TECNO’s HiOS which is is on top Android’s 8.1 Oreo Operating System. However, for the extra RAM and the addition of the fingerprint sensor, there is also a slight increase in price.

Tecno Camon iAce 2X Design And Display

This device is made of plastic as expected of a device in this price bracket. It comes in two; Blue and Black. The back is occupied by a dual camera setup with an LED flash at the top left corner of the device’s back with the fingerprint sensor at its usual spot – centre. Overall the device weighs 150 grams and measures 8.5mm in thickness just its sibling.

The display is also identical; a 5.5-inch 720p IPS LCD display with a pixel per inch density of 293 and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The front-facing camera, proximity sensor and speaker grill all sit comfortably at the huge bezel at the top, leaving the equally sized bottom bezel vacant.

The dual rear camera setup on the TECNO Camon iAce 2X comprises of a main 13MP camera with an f/1.8 paired with a secondary 0.3MP camera which helps make portrait photos possible. It is also equipped with a dual-LED flash for low light photos, HDR for good dynamic range and Panorama for wide angle shots. 1080p video recording is also possible at a maximum of 30fps. As for selfies, this device uses a front-facing 8MP camera which has an f/2.0 aperture and can be used for Face Unlock a.k.a FaceID.

TECNO Camon iAce 2X Hardware and Software

Inside this device is a MediaTek Helio A22 SoC; A 12nm based SoC which has a Quad-Core processor clocked at 2.0GHz alongside a PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It is accompanied by a bigger 3GB of RAM for smooth multitasking and 32GB of expandable storage for files. The storage space can be expanded further via a microSD card, up to 128GB. TECNO Camon iAce 2X also runs TECNO’s HiOS 4.1 out of the box, just like its sibling. HiOS 4.1 is based on the not so latest Android Operating System – Android 8.1 Oreo.

Battery & Network Connectivity

This device is powered by a decent sized 3,050mAh battery capacity. However, there is no fast charging support. It also has dual 4G VoLTE connectivity, WiFi, WiFi direct, WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm jack, Face Unlock a.k.a FaceID and a micro USB port with support for USB On The Go.
