TECNO Camon X Vs Camon CM-Major Differences in Specs and Price

Welcome to another specs and features comparison-TECNO Camon X Vs Camon CM. The TECNO Camon CM was the first TECNO smartphone with a full view 18:9 display and first device from TECNO mobile to be launched in 2018. Less than three months after that, the same company is back with something really better, the Camon X.

The Camon series are camera-focused mid-range devices.  They are known to produce high-quality pictures and incredible selfies. The Camon X and the Camon CM are some of the latest addition to the Camon lines.

In this article, I will be examining the features of both the Camon X and the Camon CM to see which offers the best value for money.

TECNO Camon X Vs Camon CM-The Design

Both devices come with a sleek and beautiful design and there are no differences between the two smartphones. But the Camon CM is lighter as it weighs around 150g compared to 152g of the Camon X.  Both devices are made of plastic and they are perfectly sculptured with edges that make them appear curvy.

Meanwhile, I like the positioning of the Headphone jack at the bottom of the Camon X and a lot of people will prefer this too.

Also, the volume rocker, power bottom and even the SIM tray are all on the right-hand side, leaving the top and left side blank. Both devices are quite light and they have their fingerprint sensor at the back. Also, the Camon X comes with a Face ID feature which is missing on the Camon CM.

TECNO Camon X Vs Camon CM-The Display

Both devices feature the slim bezel designs which happen to be the latest in phone designs. While the Camon CM is 5.7 inches in size, the Camon X is a whopping 6.0 inches. Both devices feature the 18:9 ratio display which gives you more view.

They both feature a 2.5D Corning gorilla glass screen. So basically, the only noticeable difference in both devices is the display size as they both have the same HD+ display with a resolution of 1440* 720 pixels.

TECNO Camon X Vs Camon CM-The Camera

This one of the strongholds of the Camon X. It features a whopping 20MP front camera while that of the Camon CM is just 13MP for the front camera. The 16MP Back camera of the Camon X also beats that of the Camon CM which is the same 13MP. The Camon X comes with advanced features which are not available on the Camon CM like the portrait mode for the front camera and the superpixel option in the back camera.

TECNO Camon X Vs Camon CM-Hardware and Software

Both devices run on Android OS. But while the Camon CM runs on last year’s version Android 7.0 Nougat with HiOS V3.2, the Camon X runs on the updated Android 8.1 Oreo and TECNO’s latest HiOS V3.3. The Camon X also features a 3GB RAM while the Camon CM comes with on 2GB.

Both devices come with 16GB ROM. Another area the Camon X outshines the Camon CM is in the processor department. The Camon CM comes with a 1.3Ghz quad-core MediaTek 6737 processor clock at 1.3GHZ while the Camon X comes with a more powerful MediaTek Helio P23 Processor, an octa-core processor clock at 2.0GHz. The TECNO customized UI on Camon X (v3.3) also beats that of the Camon CM (v3.2).

TECNO Camon X Vs Camon CM-Battery Rating

There is quite a disparity in the battery of both devices. While the Camon CM features a 3000mAh battery, the Camon X has room for more juice. It has 750mAh battery more than the Camon CM. This is the highest we have seen on any TECNO Camon device and is quite impressive.

TECNO Camon X Vs Camon CM-Price

Both devices are budget friendly since they both fall in the mid-range price but the Camon CM is more pocket-friendly and goes for N46,000 while the Camon X goes for N59,800
