Tecno POP 1 Pro (Tecno F3 Pro) Full Specs Review

TECNO POP 1 Pro was released by TECNO quietly as the upgraded version of the POP 1 smartphone. The new version comes loaded with a massive internal storage space and improved rear camera.

Just as expected, we knew there would be a Pro version of the device, since it has similar specs with the TECNO F2. Phonecorridor exclusively got the full specs and features of the TECNO POP 1 Pro, let’s have a look.

DESIGN

So there’s no difference here in terms of design. The TECNO POP 1 Pro still looks stunning as usual, I think the F series wasn’t meant to have a fingerprint scanner, hence the POP 1 Pro aka F3 Pro didn’t come with the feature as well.

The POP smartphones are known for their beautiful Plastic body with an attractive black antenna line on the Red and Ice Blue colours. Other colours include Champagne Gold and Elegant Black. It sports a rear loudspeaker as usual and measures 8.5mm in thickness as well.

DISPLAY

The screen still stays the same with super minimal narrow bezels and dishes out more screen than the other F smartphones. We can see the selfie camera, LED flash and speaker grille at the top bezel, while the navigation buttons sit at the bottom.

The 5.5-inch FWVGA IPS capacitive touchscreen should bring your movies to life. The screen has a resolution of just 960 x 480 pixels, even though the details on the screen might not be that sharp, but you’ll get to enjoy a bigger view.

HARDWARE and SOFTWARE

The F series was built for speed, it houses the same MediaTek chip with 4-cores processor and 32-bit CPU architecture. The Quad-core processor on the POP 1 Pro reaches a speed of 1.3GHz as usual with 28nm process technology. The 1GB of RAM on the device should be able to handle light multitasking and the Split Screen feature.

You still get to watch movies while chatting at the same time with the Pro version. The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with HiOS skin. There’s 16GB storage space on the TECNO POP 1 Pro to accommodate more files and you can upgrade up to 32GB as well.

CAMERA

A much clearer 5MP rear camera sits at the rear here, while a dual-LED flash sits by the side and ready to take over the night. The camera comes with improved features compared to the initial version. Nonetheless, it still has the same 5MP selfie camera with beautify technology and soft LED flash for capturing natural-looking selfies even in low light environments.

BATTERY

The TECNO POP 1 Pro is powered by a removable Li-Ion 2400mAh battery with fast no charging technology.

PRICE AND AVAILABILITY

Tecno POP 1 Pro is not yet available in Shopping stores but should retail between $89 to $99, that’s about (N20,000 – N30,000).
