Tecno Mobile has announced the official lite version of the Tecno Spark 4. The new Tecno Spark 4 Lite comes with similar features and specs with Spark 4 Air, which many believed is the lite version of Spark 4 prior to this release. Design
The Tecno Spark 4 Lite is a budget device which leads to its body build being all plastic. The back features the regular fingerprint reader and a panel which houses the camera and its LED flash. When you flip to the front, you’ll see a waterdrop notch display. Of course, the notch is home to the front camera. The phone is available in two body colours; Vacation Blue and Royal Purple. Its weight is 176 grams while the dimension is 166.7 x 75.8 x 8.4 mm.
Display
The Tecno smartphone features an IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen which measures 6.52 inches. The display has a 720 x 1600 pixels resolution with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The touchscreen is protected with a scratch-resistant glass.
Hardware and Software
Under the hood of the Spark 4 Lite is MediaTek Helio A22 SoC. This chipset comes with a Quad-Core processor that clocks at 2.0 GHz and PowerVR GE8320 graphics processing unit. The Tecno device has only one variant in terms of memory configuration; a 2GB RAM with 32GB storage. Running inside the Spark 4 Lite is the outdated Android 9 Pie slapped with Tecno’s HiOS custom skin.
Camera
The camera setup of the Spark 4 Lite is pretty straight forward. It comes with an 8 MP camera at the back and another 8 MP camera at the front. The rear camera features Geotagging, Autofocus, HDR, Touch focus, LED flash, Panorama and Face detection. It can also record videos in 720p at 30 frames per second. The front selfie camera features Face ID technology, HD, ED flash and AI Beauty software.
Battery
For the Spark 4 Lite, you’ll be getting a non-removable Li-ion 4,000 mAh battery. The sad part is the absence of fast charging technology that will limit the time spent on charging such a huge battery.
Price and Availability
The Tecno Spark 4 Lite is not yet available in Nigeria at the time of writing. It’s expected price is around N32,000.
