TECNO Spark 40 Pro+ to Launch in July with Powerful Helio G200 and Sleek Design

TECNO is making waves again, this time with the upcoming launch of the Spark 40 Pro+, the first smartphone powered by the newly announced MediaTek Helio G200 chipset. Set to debut globally and in Nigeria in July 2025, the Spark 40 Pro+ offers a compelling blend of performance upgrades, stylish design, and mid-range affordability that’s sure to excite fans.

Though the official price hasn’t been confirmed, insiders expect the Spark 40 Pro+ to land under ₦300,000, making it one of the most competitive devices in its segment.

First Phone with MediaTek Helio G200

The Spark 40 Pro+ will be the first device to house the Helio G200, MediaTek’s latest mid-range SoC. TECNO claims a 10% performance boost over the Helio G100 or G99 on the SPARK 30 PRO, with the G200 achieving 470,000 points on AnTuTu benchmarks. The GPU, a Mali-G57 MC2, now clocks at 1.1GHz, up from 1.0GHz in previous models, offering smoother gameplay and faster graphics rendering.

In addition to raw power, TECNO is introducing custom super-resolution algorithms that will allow graphics to render at 1.5K—ideal for gamers and video streamers.

Smarter Connectivity with 4G DC SAR

One of the standout connectivity features is 4G DC SAR (Dynamic Communication Smart Adaptive Response), a tech that improves signal handling in weak network areas. Whether you’re streaming, gaming, or browsing on the go, this should translate to better data speeds and fewer dropouts—a welcome feature for mobile-first regions.

Flagship-Level Specs in a Mid-Range Body

Beyond the chipset, the TECNO Spark 40 Pro+ checks several high-end feature boxes:

  • Display: A stunning curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, perfect for fluid scrolling and immersive visuals.
  • Camera: A high-resolution 50MP rear camera promises crisp, vibrant photos.
  • Battery: A long-lasting 5200mAh battery with 45W fast charging, ensuring less downtime.
  • Memory: Generous 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage, suitable for multitasking and media storage.

While TECNO hasn’t released full details on the camera’s software features, the Helio G200’s 12-bit DCG (Dual Conversion Gain) support hints at improved HDR video quality, which could elevate both photo and video capture performance.

What to Expect in July

TECNO has confirmed that the Spark 40 Series, including the Pro+, will be unveiled in July, with availability spanning global markets and Nigeria. This launch will also likely include more in-depth information about design refinements and new AI-powered features TECNO has been working on.

Joey Qu, Senior Product Manager at TECNO, noted:

“The Spark 40 Series redefines what’s possible in its class, offering an unprecedented experience for its users — all while delivering signature slim design.”

 Final Thoughts

With its blend of cutting-edge internals, stylish build, and smart connectivity upgrades, the TECNO Spark 40 Pro+ is shaping up to be a standout option in the 2025 mid-range market. If TECNO keeps the pricing under ₦300k as expected, the Pro+ could be a category leader for anyone seeking premium features without the flagship price tag.
