TECNO W6 & TECNO W6 LITE Expected Specs, Price and Release Date

We have seen the launch of Tecno Camon CX, Camon CX Air and the Tecno L9 Plus this year from Tecno Mobile which are all impressive according to the review we did and most user reviews online. But yet another great phone from Tecno upcoming phones 2017 is Tecno W6 and W6 LITE .

BRIEF NOTE ABOUT TECNO W-SERIES 

Tecno W-series are basically targeted at the affordable segment and they are high-selling phones from the Chinese phones maker. The Tecno W4, for instance, was one of the most searched smartphones in Nigeria for 2016. The Tecno W4 was Tecno’s first Marshmallow smartphone boasting of HD IPS screen, 16GB of internal storage and a Quad-Core Processor with an affordable price tag.

Not taking anything away from the Tecno W5 and Tecno W3 which were also listed by Google as one of the most searched smartphones in Nigeria for the same year.One would wonder why people are so much interested in the Tecno W series, the simple truth is that this class of device from Tecno are affordable and they also have decent specs and average camera.

TECNO W6 AND TECNO W6 LITE Expected Specs and Features

These lines of smartphones from Tecno are some of the best affordable phones you can buy without breaking the bank and they also come with impressive cameras and great specs for the price they are being sold. We have seen the release of Tecno W1, Tecno W2, Tecno W3, Tecno W4 and Tecno W5 in the past years and we are guessing that the next phone in the W-series will be called Tecno W6 and there is a possibility that Tecno Mobile will launch the Lite version of Tecno W6 to be called W6 Lite.

The upcoming Tecno W6 and W6 LITE are expected to come with specs upgrade compared to its predecessors; Tecno W5 and W5 Lite. Tecno W5 was launched with 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal Storage, 13MP camera at the back and 5MP in the front, fast 4G LTE connection and fingerprint scanner. The W5 Lite, however, does not have 4G LTE and its cameras are 8MP rear and 2MP front.

We expect the W6 to come with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of Internal storage,  Android 7.0 Nougat , 4G LTE, Fingerprint scanner, better battery , at least 13MP back and 8MP front camera. On the other hand, the W6 Lite may not have 4G capability just like its predecessor but we still expect it to come with 2GB RAM and 16GB onboard memory.

TECNO W6 AND TECNO W6 LITE RELEASE DATE

If Tecno honours its refresh cycle for the W-series, the W6 and W6 LITE may be launched late in the second quarter of 2017 probably around June. But since this write up is based on rumour we got, we advise you take this with a pinch of salt.

In Terms of pricing, both W6 and W6 LITE are expected to be pricier than their predecessors but logically, the prices of both phones will be determined by the Naira to Dollar exchange which could be lower or higher depending on the economy. The phones will be available on most offline shops and online stores like Jumia and Konga.
