Umidigi F2 is the successor to the umidigi F1 released last year with the same aim of bringing as many features as possible from the high-end devices to a lower price point. This device starts at $249 packs quite a lot earning itself “The Flagship Killer” name.
It comes with a 6.53-inch FHD+ display with a punch-hole camera, a Mediatek Helio P70 SoC, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, a total of five cameras including a 48MP shooter and a massive 5,150mAh battery. There is more.

Umidigi F2 Design And Display
Umidigi F2 has a pretty popular design you would expect from a device at this price point. It features an all-new nanometer holographic design which shines brightly and has a pretty impressive reflection with subtle curves. This is covered with a slab of glass as well as the 6.53-inch display upfront with a metal frame all around.
Coming back to the display, it is an IPS LCD panel with an FHD+ resolution and a hole at the top left corner which houses the front-facing camera. It has a pretty slim bezel at the top and sides but the chin is a tad bit thicker.
At the back of the device are the quad-camera setup accompanied by a dual-LED flash. Fingerprint sensor for biometric unlock here is mounted on the side which also doubles as the power button, just underneath the volume rockers.
Thanks to the massive 5,150mAh battery on the inside, this device weighs 201grams and measures 8.7mm in thickness. Colour options for this device are limited to either phantom blue or midnight black.
Camera
The camera department here has a whole lot going for it. This device has a total of five cameras, four of which are at the back leaving the just one at the front for selfies.
Starting off with the quad-camera at the back is the 48MP main camera with an f/1.79 aperture. This is accompanied by a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a 120° field of field and a 5MP depth sensor for depth sensing.
Last on the list and the camera underneath the dual-LED flash is a 5MP macro camera for taking shots of objects up close. Features of the camera setup here include HDR, Autofocus, Panorama, AI and Super Night Mode.
As for selfies, there is a single 32MP camera with AI in the hole in the screen. This selfie camera can be used for face unlock and comes with AI Beauty and DIY Beautify to make your selfies pop.
Hardware and Software
The brain behind the umidigi F2 is the Mediatek Helio P70 SoC. This chipset which is based on the 12nm process technology comes with an octa-core processor clocked at 2.1GHz alongside an ARM Mali-G72 GPU.
For multitasking, there is 6GB of RAM and for storage there is 128GB. You can add more storage through the dedicated MicroSD card slot onboard which can accommodate up to 512GB of additional storage.
It runs Android 10 out of the box with no skin or UI over it. This means you’ll be getting the stock Android experience with maybe two years of software updates and 3 years of security updates.
Battery and Connectivity
Umidigi F2 is packing a hefty 5,150mAh battery which comes with fast charging. It also has 4G LTE with a lot of global bands so as to keep connected regardless of the country you’re in. You can also make use of the 4G LTE connectivity on both SIM slot simultaneously.
