Umidigi One has been introduced by the company, the company is preparing for the global launch of its latest flagship the Z2 Pro. However, the One smartphone has been unveiled on the company website.
The device has a sleek looking body and packs 4GB of RAM. It boasts of a dual rear camera, houses the MediaTek Helio P23 MT6763T chip with a fast octa-core processor. There’s also support for fast charging and a notch screen.

Umidigi One Design
Umidigi One is a Beauty to behold no doubt, this new smartphone has a Metallic body with the right colours at the right place. We can see the dual vertically placed cameras at the top left corner with the LED flash sitting underneath.
The Umidigi logo is also present at the bottom corner as the company marked its territory. It sports a side fingerprint scanner for a much easier and faster access. It was introduced in Twilight and Carbon Fiber colours which is quite similar to that of the Huawei P20 series.

Just like the Z2 series, the Umidigi One has a notched screen and looks exactly like the iPhone X from the front. It’s nice to finally see a smartphone with a notch and an invisible bottom chin.
The tall 5.99-inch HD+ In-Cell IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen boasts 1520 x 720 pixels in resolution and 287 pixels per inch density. The screen stretches up to 90% screen-to-body ratio according to Umidigi.
Hardware and Software
As stated above, it is powered by the Helio P23 chip from MediaTek which was built on a 16nm FinFET+ process node. The 8-core processor is divided into 2 clusters reaching 2.5GHz max, while the ARM Mali-G71 MP2 clocks at 770MHz.
There’s 4GB of RAM space available for multitasking, it has a memory speed that reaches a max speed of 1.5GHz. While the storage space is pegged at 32GB with a slot to upgrade up to 128GB. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
Umidigi One Camera
There’s a combination of 12MP + 5MP shooters at the rear for photography. The 12MP camera on top is an OV12870 sensor which has f/2.0 aperture, while the 5MP underneath acts like a telephoto and comes with a LED flash. There’s a 16MP selfie camera on top of the notch with features such as a 5-element lens, F/2.0 aperture, Selfie countdown and Face recognition
Network and Connectivity
The device supports 4G LTE connectivity and accommodates dual Nano SIMs. It also has support for Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm jack, USB port, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot and A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, and BDS. Sensors on the phone include Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Geomagnetic Sensor, proximity Sensor.
