Vivo Launches Y90 with Helio A22 SoC & 4,030 mAh battery

Vivo has announced the Vivo Y90, which will be released in Pakistan and India. The entry-level smartphone features a 6.22 inch HD display with a waterdrop notch. The display sports a 720 x 1520 pixels resolution and 270 PPI density.

For reasons unknown to us, the phone doesn’t offer a dual rear camera setup and fingerprint reader. This kind of makes it hard for it to compete with other phones in its price segment. Concerning the fingerprint reader, one will have to rely on the face unlock for biometric security.

The Vivo Y90 features a single rear camera with an 8MP sensor. While the waterdrop notch houses a 5MP selfie camera. In terms of hardware, we have an Helio A22 SoC coupled with 2GB RAM. Storage options available is 16GB and 32GB which are market dependent. The phone comes with a microSD slot up to 256GB if you need additional storage. The operating system running on this device is the outdated Android 8.1 Oreo with Funtouch OS 4.5 skin.

Powering the Vivo Y90 is a non-removable 4030 mAh battery capacity. The 32GB storage version will be available in Pakistan for $120/€105. While the 16GB storage version goes to India for $100/€90. The Vivo Y90 comes in Blue and Gold body colours. No official date for when this phone will hit offline and online stores, but we expect it to be within the coming weeks especially for the Indian market.
