Earlier this year, Vivo launched the V30 series, leading many to expect the next smartphones to be named V31 or V33. Instead, Vivo surprised everyone by introducing the V40 series. The new lineup will feature three models: Vivo V40 Pro, Vivo V40, and Vivo V40e.
The technical specifications of the Vivo V40 series remain a mystery. However, a recent interview with a Vivo executive suggested that the V40 series represents a significant departure from previous models, explaining the decision to jump to the “V40” name.

The Vivo V40 Pro, listed in a database with model number V2347, follows the V30 Pro, which had the model number V2319. Despite limited information, high expectations surround the V40 Pro and its counterparts due to the executive’s remarks. While the Y series caters to budget-conscious consumers, Vivo’s V series targets the mid-range market, with the V40 series poised to be a strong contender in the Android mid-range segment.

Returning to the series, the Vivo V40 has the model number V2348, and the Vivo V40e is listed as V2403. In comparison, the previous V30 and V30e models had the numbers V2318 and V2339, respectively.
The upcoming Vivo V40 series has generated considerable excitement. Anticipated features include powerful chipsets, impressive camera sensors, and advanced fast-charging technology. Given that the V30 series launched earlier in 2024, a late-year release for the V40 series is likely. Stay tuned for further updates on this eagerly awaited lineup.
